Solar Panels Vernon respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable.
What we collect
When you contact us or request an estimate we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, property address or town, property type, and approximate monthly electricity spend, along with anything else you choose to tell us.
When you visit the site we may collect standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring page — through server logs and analytics.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare an estimate, arrange a site assessment, carry out work you engage us for, and to meet legal and regulatory obligations. We may contact you about your enquiry by phone, email or text.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with our contractor partners where they are involved in assessing or completing work for you, and with service providers who help us operate the business (hosting, email, call handling, analytics). They are only permitted to use it for that purpose.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
As long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
Reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
