Who We Are
Solar Panels Vernon helps North Okanagan property owners cut what they spend on electricity. We work with homeowners, businesses and off-grid property owners across Vernon, Coldstream, Lumby, Armstrong, Enderby, Lake Country and north to Salmon Arm.
Three kinds of customers come to us. Homeowners who watch their BC Hydro bill climb every year and want to know whether panels are worth it on their particular roof. Businesses, orchards and wineries carrying demand charges on buildings with a lot of unused roof and land. And rural property owners past the end of the line, who need power that does not depend on a grid connection at all.

Your BC Hydro bill goes up most years and it is never going back down. A rooftop system turns your own roof into the cheapest power you will ever buy, and net metering credits whatever you do not use at the time you make it.
Businesses, Orchards & Wineries
Commercial buildings carry demand charges and usually sit under a lot of unused roof and land. Agricultural properties in particular have the space for a system that meaningfully changes the operating cost of the business.
Off-Grid Properties
Past the end of the line, a grid connection can cost more than the system that replaces it. We size battery banks and generator backup for properties that have never been connected — and for ones where the quote to connect came back absurd.
What We Do First
What we do first is the arithmetic. We look at your last twelve months of electricity use, your actual roof planes, orientation and shading, and put the expected annual output, your BC Hydro net-metering credit and your payback year in writing — before anyone talks about hardware.
If the numbers do not work on your property, we tell you. That happens more often than the industry likes to admit: north-facing roofs, heavy shade, consumption too low to offset. Losing that job costs us a sale and saves you a twenty-five-year disappointment, and enough people have come back to us later — or sent a neighbour — that we stopped counting it as a loss.
How the Work Gets Done
Installation is carried out by our team and our vetted local contractor partners: licensed electricians who pull the appropriate permits and commission every grid-tied system to BC Hydro’s net-metering interconnection requirements.
We are straightforward about that arrangement because it is how good local trade work actually happens in a region this size, and because it means you get a crew that knows Okanagan roofs rather than one dispatched from the coast.
